Making an impact with your purchase is at the heart of everything we do here at wearwell. From the very beginning, we’ve chosen to partner with brands that meet the very highest standards and we’re proud that every single one prioritizes fair wages for garment workers and artisans and chooses environmentally sustainable materials and processes for every product they make.
We believe that there’s real power behind how you choose to spend your dollars, and we also believe that we can constantly raise the bar. This is why we chose to partner with Beam Impact to begin donating 1% of every order to high-impact non-profits. And the best part? You get to choose where our donations go!
How it works is simple. Every time you shop with wearwell, you’ll see 3 options at checkout of where you’d like us to donate. These 3 non-profits are handpicked by our team. Choose which cause resonates most with you, and we’ll donate 1% of your purchase to them.
Today, you can choose between:
- The Brigid Alliance
- Surfrider Foundation
Plus, your purchase’s donation is part of a wearwell community goal. You’ll get progress updates when we’re nearing the finish line of a goal and when that goal is met so that you can see how you’re contributing to causes that matter to you. Here’s a little more about why we - Erin and Emily, Co-Founders of wearwell — chose these non-profits:
FABSCRAP takes fabric “waste” from the textile industry here in the US and sorts it to be upcycled, recycled, or used for testing new innovations to prevent fibers from going to landfills. Beyond partnering with them through Beam Impact, our headquarters is located near their Philadelphia location, and we’ve had the chance to see and be part of their mission first-hand!
We believe that a woman’s right to make choices for her own body is a fundamental human right. Our company stands by this, and the Brigid Alliance makes it possible for women to travel in order to access the abortion care they may need when it isn’t available to them because of discriminatory laws where they live.
The climate crisis is one the most pressing issues facing our world today, and the Surfrider Foundation works to both clean up our oceans and coastlines and protect and preserve them from more harm. Even more, we love that they work on fair access to beaches for everyone to enjoy.
