Maelu combines traditional artisan craftsmanship with contemporary patterns and silhouettes. Each garment is designed in Portland, OR, and handmade in India using techniques such as block printing, screen printing, and hand weaving as well as natural fibers and vegetable dyes. Not only do they donate a portion of profits back into the communities they work with, their production is done in partnership with Global Fund for Women in Gujarat to fight for gender equality.
